I'm a Philadelphia based San Francisco artist who
has illustrated book covers, editorial pieces as well as large scale narrative works. Although each project is different, they all convey what is at the core of my work; emotions, feeling, and the mysteries and wonder of nature.
My art takes from representations in the real world and I always add elements to keep things in flow and to add a sense of motion. Illustration is a way to deal with how these two worlds intertwine and bleed into each other—how memory/the subconscious manipulates “reality.” My main mode of transportation between these two worlds are swirly, wavy, and atmospheric shapes that undulate and merge them together.
My mediums of choice range from tonal paper with black and white ink, to gouache and watercolor. Illustrating children, animals and the elements with both a surreal and realistic feel tinges all aspects of the art that I create.
Anything that can be imagined I can make. Give my website a look. Enjoy!
